El verbo to be en past simple es una excepción, ya que sí que cambia en las diferentes personas.

Oraciones interrogativas y negativas

Igual que en presente, el verbo to be no necesita verbo auxiliar.

Las oraciones interrogativas tendrán inversión del orden del verbo y el sujeto:

¿Estuviste en el parque? => Were you at the park?

Y para formar oraciones negativas añadiremos la partícula negativa not justo después del verbo:

No estuve en el parque. => I was not at the park.
